ReelAlign Privacy Policy

This policy describes privacy practices for the ReelAlign app and the website at reelalign.app. ReelAlign is designed to process photos and videos on your device. The app does not require an account and does not upload your selected media to the developer's servers.

Information ReelAlign processes

ReelAlign processes only the information needed to provide features you choose to use:

• Photos and videos you select through the system Photos picker or Files picker.
• Alignment choices, project settings, detected subject positions, previews, and exported videos created while you use the app.
• Local preferences such as whether onboarding has been completed, whether an in-app review request has previously been shown, and whether the included export has been used.
• ReelAlign Pro entitlement status returned by Apple's StoreKit framework so the app can unlock purchased features.

This information is processed and stored locally on your device. ReelAlign does not use advertising analytics, cross-app tracking, or a developer-operated cloud service.

Photos and Files access

Importing from Photos uses Apple's system picker, which grants ReelAlign access only to the items you select. Importing from Files uses Apple's document picker and security-scoped access to the files you choose.

ReelAlign requests add-only Photo Library permission only when you choose Save to Photos. Your original media is not modified.

Local storage and deletion

Imported working copies, previews, exports, and project history may remain on your device so ReelAlign can display or share them. You can remove project-history exports from the Projects screen. Removing the app deletes its locally stored app data according to the operating system's normal app-removal behavior. Copies you previously saved to Photos, Files, or another app are controlled by those destinations.

ReelAlign removes disposable trim and export working files after they are no longer needed when possible. Temporary processing files can still remain in a session-specific temporary directory after interrupted work or an unexpected failure. When ReelAlign initializes a later project session, it checks for and removes abandoned session directories that are more than 48 hours old. Files can remain longer if the app is not opened again, and the operating system may remove temporary files sooner when reclaiming storage.

Sharing

ReelAlign sends an export outside the app only when you explicitly save or share it. When you use Apple's share sheet or save to another service, that destination's privacy policy and practices apply.

Website and support communications

The ReelAlign website does not require an account, use analytics or advertising trackers, set non-essential cookies, or provide a contact form. Like other websites, its hosting provider necessarily processes limited request information—such as an IP address, browser or device information, the requested page, and request time—to deliver the site, maintain security, and diagnose failures. ReelAlign does not use this information for advertising, cross-site tracking, or profiling, or combine it with information from the app. The hosting provider may retain infrastructure logs under its own operational and legal requirements.

If you email ReelAlign support, the developer and email provider process your email address, message, attachments, and related technical metadata to respond, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Do not send private photos or videos unless they are specifically requested for troubleshooting. Support correspondence is retained only as reasonably needed for those purposes, subject to necessary security backups and legal requirements.

Data collection by third parties

ReelAlign does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Purchases are processed by Apple. Apple may independently process App Store, purchase, crash, or device information under Apple's own privacy policies. ReelAlign reads the verified purchase entitlement needed to unlock ReelAlign Pro but does not receive or store your payment-card details.

Children's privacy

ReelAlign is a general-audience creative tool and does not knowingly solicit personal information from children.

Your privacy choices

You control the media selected in the app and can delete local project-history exports from the Projects screen. For questions about website or support information, or to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable, use the contact details below. ReelAlign may need to verify a request and may retain information when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app's features or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
